SPANISH production of wine and grape juice decreased 3.2% to 40.2 million hectolitres, according to data analysed in March by the Spanish Wine Market Observatory (OeMv). Figures from November 2009 showed a reduction of 13% to 36 million hectolitres.The two largest producing communities, Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura, saw falls of 11.2% and 14.6% respectively. Production also decreased in Andalucía (-2.8%), while it increased in La Rioja (+8.4%), Galicia (+18.5%), Castilla y León (+21.9%), Valencia (+22.8%) and Aragón (+58%).
