Two violent incidents this year at a Seneca County winery have sent shockwaves through the Finger Lakes wine industry. The attacks on bystanders, winery personnel and a police officer, which occurred Feb. 13 and May 29 at Three Brothers Winery in Seneca County, have forced winemakers throughout the region to ramp up restrictions on group bus and limousine tours. "It was kind of a wakeup call in some regards," said David Whiting, president of Red Newt Cellars on Seneca Lake. "Until (now) it never has gotten to the point of someone being injured."
