Exports Of Chile Wine Expected To Jump 8% In 2010 - Report

(Dow Jones)--Exports of Chilean wine are expected to increase 8% in terms of volume and value this year, from 382.9 million liters of bottled wine worth $1.14 billion in 2009, Wines of Chile, an industry group said, according to daily newspaper El Mercurio.Chile is the world's 11th-largest wine producer and fifth-largest exporter, according to Wines of Chile.The Andean nation's wine makers include Vina Concha Y Toro SA (VCO, CONCHATORO.SN), one of the leading wine producers in the world.Many wine producers suffered big losses at the hands of a massive earthquake in late February that struck central-southern Chile, where the bulk of their operations are located.
