Activities held in conjunction with the Michigan Grape & Wine Conference in East Lansing the week of February 11:

Fortified Wine Workshop - February 12
Artisan Distillation Facility, East Lansing, 9am-5pm
This day-long workshop will be taught by some of our own in-state expertise, and will cover the entire spectrum of fortified wine production. The workshop will be part classroom style and part hands-on experience. Please note: Due to the hands-on nature of this workshop, we are limiting attendance to 30 people.

Export Seminar - February 13
Henry Center/University Club, Lansing, 8:30am-1:30pm
The seminar will focus on export basics such as shipping documentation and logistics, export documentation and programs and services. The keynote speaker for the lunch is Graceland Fruit, the 2011 Ag Exporter of the Year. View complete agenda. Winery Owners Meeting - February 13
Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, Centennial Room C, 4:00pm
This meeting will be facilitated by the Michigan Wine Producers Association to discuss plans for 2013. Speakers will include Rob Elhenicky (Kelly Cawthorne, lobbyist for the Michigan Wine Producers Association), Linda Jones (Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council update), and Lee Lutes (Black Star Farms - fundraising for research and Extension support).

A focus of the meeting will be discussion of the Office of Regulatory Reinvention Report on Michigan's Liquor Laws as it pertains to the wine industry.
